EXCELLENT Based on 28 reviews Raphael Piero2024-09-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Mamu for six months, and I can confidently say it’s the best spot for both short and long-term stays. The place offers everything you could ask for: comfortable rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious balcony perfect for watching sunsets. But what truly sets it apart are the amazing people. Maren and Rogers are always available and extremely knowledgeable about Uganda, offering invaluable help with everything from day-to-day needs to organizing trips around the country. There's a great social atmosphere, with opportunities to enjoy drinks and good company, but you can always retreat to the quiet of your room if you prefer. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and can’t wait to return. Thank you so much. Akira Doutreloigne2024-09-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I went to Uganda for six months and lived at Villa Mamu. Thanks to them I had the most wonderful time over there and they were so so so helpful, you are really part of a family! They make you feel at home: I got a lot of tips and tricks to travel in Kampala and Uganda, we had dinners together, we watched the sunset together and so much more. Visiting Uganda is a wonderful experience but staying at Villa Mamu makes it so much better! I really cannot wait to visit the country and my Ugandan family again <3 Billy Pike2024-08-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It's a home away from home, close to the road for easy movement..they got lots of rooms to choose from just as you desire Mark Brophy2024-07-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Villa Mamu was my home for 8 months, and I am 100% sure it is the best place to stay In Uganda - great location, has everything you need for both short and long-term stays, a calm and comfortable location in Kampala, but also very social. It is the perfect balance! Living with a mix of Ugandans and Expats makes it very easy to assimilate to life in Uganda. Maren and Rogers are amazing - They are very knowledgeable about Uganda and will help you with any questions, difficulties, or planned trips you have. Missing the Villa Mamu Family - Thanks for all the good memories. Already looking forward to coming back and catching up over a Nile on the balcony! Overall, I can say it was fantastic. The house is beautiful, especially with Maren's art spread around. In addition, everything is also practically in order. There was wifi, filter water, laundry service, comfortable rooms, a good location with a market nearby, etc. Villa Mamu was also so cozy. It is the ideal place to meet expats, but also Maren, Rogers and their family were so friendly. As hosts, they were always ready for advice, a chat, a trip or a beer on the roof terrace, just like the other residents of Villa Mamu. Overall, I had the time of my life in Uganda and can only thank Villa Mamu for playing a big part in this. I would return to it 100% when I visit Uganda again (and I'm sure I will :)). The villa is extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. My room also came equipped with strong wifi. The villa is located in the centre of Kampala making it easy to access the city center and all other areas of Kampala. Rogers and Maren are very helpful with organizing safe means of travel for guests, and showing newcomers how to use transport services safely in Uganda. The location felt very safe, and Villa Mamu feels like an oasis of peace in the hustle and bustle of Kampala. Maren and Rogers are both wonderful hosts who are extremely knowledgeable about the city of Kampala and Uganda as a whole. They went out of their way to help us organize trips, ensuring that we enjoyed our stay in Kampala and saw all that it has to offer. Villa Mamu is a very hospitable place where everyone is welcomed. Rogers, Maren and all the other residents of Villa Mamu, are very friendly and sociable. This makes it easy to have a fun and interactive stay at Villa Mamu meeting people from all over the world, while having the space to have quiet evenings and your own privacy in the villa. Would highly recommend that anyone searching for accommodation in Kampala, looks no further than Villa Mamu! Lisa Maier2024-04-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
